Broccoli profitability depends on the final quality of the head. Our products Briopol® K and Boroestop® provide an effective strategy to optimize firmness, filling, and uniformity of the crop.

The quality of the broccoli head is the main factor determining its market value. A compact, firm head, with an intense green color and free of internal disorders, ensures not only a higher market price but also better post-harvest performance and greater resistance during handling.

Nutritional deficiencies in key elements such as potassium, sulfur, or boron often result in open heads, soft tissues, internal necrosis, or hollow stems, significantly reducing crop profitability and limiting the product’s marketability.

The application of Briopol® K promotes carbohydrate translocation and tissue compaction while increasing protein synthesis. This contributes to maintaining an intense green color and enhances the commercial value of the crop.

It is recommended to apply Briopol® K via foliar spraying at a rate of 300–400 cc/hl (approximately 2–3 L/ha), starting from the initiation of head differentiation and repeating every 10–12 days.

These recommendations are indicative and should be adjusted according to specialized technical criteria. For optimal management, consulting with an agronomic advisor or contacting our technical department is recommended.

Learn more about Boroestop®.

Applying Boroestop® ensures boron availability, helping to prevent typical deficiency-related disorders in broccoli such as tip burn, deformities, and hollow stems, while improving the structural consistency of the head.

It is recommended to apply 1–1.5 L/ha of Boroestop® via foliar spraying from the early vegetative stages (6–8 true leaves), with additional applications prior to head formation to guarantee uniform development.

These recommendations are indicative and should be adjusted according to specialized technical criteria. For optimal management, consulting with an agronomic advisor or contacting our technical department is recommended.

Briopol® KBoroestop®: Compact heads, quality broccoli.

The combined use of Briopol® K and Boroestop® represents a precision nutritional strategy designed to maximize the structural and commercial quality of the broccoli head. The result is more compact, firm, and uniform heads, which translates into increased crop profitability through higher unit value and improved post-harvest shelf life.

To maximize the efficiency of the fertilization program, it is essential to conduct soil and tissue analyses, adjusting dosages according to crop needs. Proper irrigation management will ensure optimal nutrient uptake. In addition, foliar applications should be carried out during the cooler hours of the day to maximize effectiveness and minimize evaporation losses.
