How to improve pepper root development through fertigation with Rizosol Calcio.
<
Root development is key in pepper cultivation, as it determines the plant’s ability to absorb water and nutrients and maintain balanced growth. Rizosol® Calcio, applied through fertigation, stimulates the root system and improves calcium availability, promoting more efficient crop establishment.
During the early stages of the crop cycle, pepper plants need to develop an active root system that allows proper soil exploration and efficient absorption of nutrients present in the soil solution.
A well-developed root system improves fertilization efficiency, increases tolerance to stress conditions and helps maintain uniform crop growth throughout the entire production cycle.

Rizosol® Calcio is a liquid calcium concentrate formulated with free amino acids obtained from the hydrolysis of vegetable proteins, intended for application via fertigation as a root stimulant and a source of easily assimilable calcium. Its formulation provides nitrogen, soluble calcium and amino acids that promote the renewal of root hairs, stimulate the growth of new roots and help improve the plant’s physiological balance, facilitating greater efficiency in nutrient absorption and transport within the crop.
In pepper cultivation, the application of Rizosol® Calcio through fertigation helps improve root system activity and optimize calcium uptake from the soil, which is particularly important due to the limited mobility of this nutrient within the plant. Calcium plays a key role in the stability of cell walls and the proper development of plant tissues, so adequate availability of this nutrient helps strengthen tissue structure and reduce the occurrence of physiological disorders associated with its deficiency, such as blossom-end rot.

In addition, the stimulation of the root system that occurs when applying Rizosol® Calcio promotes greater soil exploration capacity and more efficient absorption of water and nutrients, helping maintain balanced vegetative growth and improving the physiological stability of the crop during its different development stages.
In pepper cultivation, Rizosol® Calcio can be applied through fertigation from the early stages of the crop, especially after transplanting or during crop establishment, in order to stimulate root development and promote rapid and uniform plant establishment. In horticultural crops, indicative applications of 40 to 100 L/ha per cycle are recommended, divided into two or three applications throughout the crop cycle depending on soil conditions, nutritional requirements and crop management.
These recommendations are indicative and should be adjusted based on specialized technical criteria. For a personalized recommendation, consult an agronomic advisor or contact our technical department.
