Orange tree fertilization requires a precise balance of all nutrients to ensure consistent yields and excellent fruit quality. It requires not only an adequate supply of NPK, but also essential micronutrients to maintain active photosynthesis and prevent deficiencies that could reduce yields or affect fruit colour, size and flavour. Due to its marked sensitivity to soil type, particularly in calcareous soils or soils with a high pH, the fertilization strategy should be adapted to the characteristics of the soil and irrigation water in order to optimize nutrient availability and uptake.
